Student Scholarship 2012

Rocky Mountain URISA 2012 Scholarships

Eligibility: Undergraduate or graduate students.

Purpose: To encourage and commend college students who display exceptional interest and ability in geographic information systems.

Award: Cash prize of $500 and a certificate, administered by the chapter.


Application
In addition to a letter of recommendation from a professor, applicants must submit the following items:
--A statement by the applicant explaining his or her qualification for the award.
--Papers, research reports, or other items produced by the applicant that indicate capability in these fields.
--Academic transcripts that include a separate list of relevant courses taken with grades received. We accept unofficial transcripts.

After August 30, 2012 bring them or have them hand delivered to the URISA booth at the GIS in the Rockies conference.

Award Selection
The applicant who, in the opinion of the majority of the board of directors of Rocky Mountain URISA, has the highest overall ranking will be designated the recipient.
Each item above will carry equal weight in the committee’s consideration.
